Black Nazarene of Pepin
The Sampaloc community rejoiced and was thankful last September 5, 2011 especially the residents of J. Marzan as they gleefully celebrated the 25th year anniversary of the replica Black Nazarene of Quiapo church. There is a yearly celebration of Nazareno ng Pepin and yet last year, September 5 they had a silver celebration for the one they called "Senior Nazareno"
The celebration of this community is quite the same as a Fiesta of The Black Nazarene of Quiapo wherein almost nationwide celebrates it when the 9th day of January came. Through all the years, there is a growing population of the "replica" all over the Philippines which leads to most of the Filipino to visit and joined the fiesta at Quiapo and including some foreign visitors that are so attracted to the festival.
As of these days, the new generations are now interested in pursuing their devotion to the Black Nazarene. I remember the days that the youths of my age are the one that used to bring the banner and those youths are exactly those who are now the devotees of the Black Nazarene. Who knows that one day these children would be the next group of friends that will put the Nazarene on their back?
Every residents of different barangay joined the journey of our beloved Nazarene as the procession tackles every rough road with their feet of a less wearing. Somehow it implies that this country that reigns with catholic community proves that we Filipinos are truly religious and faithful to the Father Almighty!
The procession were led by a band incorporating their harmonious symphony that risen much of their (devotees) enthusiastic feeling at that very moment.
Young or old, Families or friend, neighbors or not... everyone joined and walked a mile for the success of the celebration of the 25th year anniversary of the Nazareno ng Pepin!
This certainly proved that everything or every celebrations, fiesta, festivals or anything MUST be celebrate
in this place called the Philippines because more than any place on earth...
ITS REALLY MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!
